Hello again! It has been a long season since I have blogged. So long, that perhaps noone will even read this, because there have been no new entries. Well... all that is changing now. I have new goals for keeping it up! We'll see how that goes. Frankly, the winter season on the praire can be summed up in a few short words. Cold, snow, generally uninteresting. That pretty much catches us up to the spring. In keeping with chatting about life on the farm/ranch... we are.. once again calfing. And, I am planning my garden which I am really excited about. I actually ordered from seed catalogs... which I have never done, but which have fun things like multi colored carrots. Clay is going to have his own row of carrots, they are purple, red, yellow, white and orange. We will also have a grand new pumpkin patch. Last year, I had the smalled patch in Logan County.... I really didn't understand that pumpkins needed lots and lots of room. But this year... Ken is going to disc me up a nice spot. I ordered big ones, white pumkins, pumpkins the size of small people, and regular pumkins. We shall see how they turn out. Am hoping to figure out how to post pics... and thus could share pics of everything which would be really fun. I would first take a pic of the deadness of the garden right now.... before anything has been done to it. And then post pics as it grows. I love the thought of having a garden. I am not always good at the keeping up of one.... but as I say every year.... this one will be better!!
